Volunteering offers a unique opportunity to deepen your spiritual path, connect with like-minded individuals, and gain valuable experience in supporting sacred ceremonies and personal transformation.

Volunteer Roles & Responsibilities
Volunteers play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our retreats and supporting participants through their transformative experiences. Here are some roles and responsibilities for Inekawa volunteers:
Ceremony Support: Prepare ceremonial spaces, assist with setup and cleanup, hold neutral space for participants, and ensure a peaceful, respectful environment.
Guest Support and Hospitality: Welcome guests, assist with check-in, and provide guidance to ensure guests feel comfortable and cared for.
Logistical and Facility Support: Help maintain a clean, organized environment throughout the retreat by:
Cleaning Buckets and Bathrooms: Keeping ceremonial and communal spaces sanitary.
Trash Duty: Regularly emptying trash and maintaining tidy spaces.
Setting Up for Retreat and Ceremonies: Assisting in preparing rooms and ceremony spaces to ensure a supportive atmosphere.
Kitchen and Meal Assistance:
Washing Dishes: Cleaning dishes after meals.
Kitchen Help and Cooking: Assisting with meal prep and cooking as needed.
Food Prep and Serving: Preparing and serving meals, creating a smooth dining experience for guests and staff.
Housekeeping and Maintenance:
Laundry: Washing linens and towels to keep communal spaces fresh.
General Cleanup: Helping to maintain a clean, organized space throughout the retreat.
Space Holding: Provide support and hold neutral space during ceremonies, allowing participants to fully immerse in their journey.
Each responsibility is essential to creating a safe, sacred environment for our guests. Volunteers bring invaluable care and attention to each task, helping to make the Inekawa experience truly transformative.
Requirements & Expectations
Volunteers are asked to bring an open heart, a strong commitment to service, and a respect for the sacred nature of our work. Specific requirements include:
Arrival and Departure: Volunteers should arrive at the retreat site on Friday morning between 9:45 AM and 12:30 PM and remain through cleanup on Sunday.
Participation in Volunteer Meetings: Attend orientation and daily volunteer meetings for assignments and guidance.
Dress Code: Volunteers are asked to wear clean, plain white clothing that is respectful and modest.
Commitment to Rules and Sacred Space:
No Fraternizing: Respect the guests’ personal journeys by refraining from romantic or personal advances.
Zero-Tolerance Policy: Illegal substances, weapons, or firearms are strictly prohibited.
Background Check: All volunteers must pass a background check to ensure the safety and well-being of our guests and staff.
